I am so fixated with Christmas decor and since holiday season is coming I am looking for some new decor to set up at home. I was astonished seeing my high school batch mate on Christmas village posts on her Facebook account. They look so cute and amazing. I was inspired by her posts so I decided myself to set up my own version of Christmas village a miniatures of castles, churches, cafe, shops and houses, it even include human and animal statuettes, bridges, benches and light post. This little stuff looked all great specially when they had a built in LED lights.
With this, I started to look around at the nearby mall and home plus depot. They're actually on display but what shocked me most is that these little pieces of building were actually costly. If you will buy all of them all together it will drain your pocket. These miniature Christmas village has a price.
I have decided to just find cheaper little houses for a start, actually a piece priced of about 595 Philippines pesos for a moderate size miniature houses, but there are cheaper ones like 200 Philippines pesos, however there's no built in LED lights on it.
We'll then, as I have decided to set up a few pieces first, so I bought 4 pieces of each such as church, a house, and shops. While I enjoyed setting them up, I find it looking like a lonely village with few structures around. I decided as per my friend's advise to visit an American shop S&R membership shopping mall and there I found a good set of them for a price of almost 6,000 Philippines pesos. They actually cost big bucks but I cannot resist seeing all of them with an actual LED lights on each structure. All the miniature structures look like snowy village on Christmas eve.
I decided to buy a good set or I will lose my sanity when leaving the mall without having these little structures with me.
